Launched in 2016, GivingSimple aims to develop and grow philanthropy by providing a simple and cost-effective solution for individuals, families, and businesses, that enables patrons to support the communities, charities, and causes that are close to their own heart.

GivingSimple operates like the patron’s own foundation, ensuring full control of philanthropic strategy, structure, and ultimately where their donations are granted. However, without the need to establish their own trust, nor deal with any of the administration or compliance costs of running their own foundation. This allows the patron to connect their philanthropic efforts in a more effective and targeted manner.

GSF is a Public Ancillary Fund (PuAF), structured to allow the formation of individual “subfunds” which can be named, tailored and operated to suit your own needs and giving strategy.

The administration, compliance, reporting and management is provided by the Trustee of GSF at a fraction of the cost that you would spend by establishing your own charitable structure such as a Private or Public Ancillary Fund; allowing you to focus solely on your giving.​

​GivingSimple offers tailored and expert advice to ensure all of our donors experience the greatest benefit from their generosity.
​Immediate Establishment
A subfund can be established immediately and claim a full tax deduction. In contrast, Private Ancillary Funds (PAFs) commonly take up to 12 weeks to establish.
Identity
You can give your subfund a specific name (such as your family, company or cause) and grants made to charities from the subfund will refer to this name. Anonymous grants are also possible.
Flexibility
Donors to GSF have the added flexibility of donating now and not having to make their first grant until June 2019. This allows your subfund balance to build up over time, magnifying the value of your future grants.
Resource Aggregator
GSF operates as a resource aggregator; giving access to a deductible charitable foundation to those with less money than is required to set up your own foundation.

A donor can set up a new subfund at no cost.

GSF's rigid compliance structure gives you confidence that you subfund is safe and secure.

How Can I Give?

Through the GivingSimple Foundation ‘GSF’, you can form an individual “subfund” which can be named, tailored and operated to suit your own needs and giving strategy. Your subfund can commit to a cause, represent your family legacy or signify your business philanthropic commitment.

Establishing a subfund through GSF enables donors to create a charitable gifting plan that provides the opportunity to give now and receive a full tax deduction, but with the ability to disburse the funds to charities over time; ensuring a legacy of philanthropy long into the future. ​

​How Can I Set Up a Subfund?

​Establishing your own subfund is simple 
  1.  Register and name your subfund –  it can be in the name of your family, business, community club or member association
  2. Make a tax deductible donation now and as many times as you like going forward. Donors can include family, friends, employees and members
  3. Nominate your charitable beneficiaries each year. GSF will confirm their eligibility and make the donation on your behalf
